PHP - MySQL Developers

AVID Commerce is seeking skilled PHP / MySQL developers to work in a casual dress environment at its scenic eight acre technology campus located in Buchanan, Michigan. One or more positions may be filled with full or part time employees.

AVID Commerce is engaged in the development, construction, operation and sale of Linux / PHP / MySQL integrated e-commerce platforms. Candidates would be joining a small, established team of developers already working in an environment that emphasizes team-work and relies on matrix-style management. AVID is a company committed to expanding its culture and welcomes advanced developers who enjoy a secure, relaxed place to craft well-written and hacker-safe code.

Prospective candidates must be able to:

Write core-level PHP 5 code;
Structure classes and work within object oriented applications; and,
Strong working knowledge of MySQL 4 and MySQL 5, plus enhancements such as views, stored procedures and triggers.

Additional Information:

A B.S. in Computer Science is preferred, but not required;
Experience with SOAP and other API platforms not required, but viewed favorably;
Web site design background and experience with PhotoShop also not required, but viewed favorably;
